The short version
We're delivery only. There's no public pickup yard, no walk-in counter and no showroom. You order online or by phone, and we bring the material straight to your driveway anywhere in our south DFW zones for one flat fee. That's also why we don't list a street address: there's nowhere for you to drive to and load up.
Why we work this way
We get it. A lot of folks grew up going to the rock yard with a pickup and a tarp. So here's the honest reasoning, and we think most of it actually works in your favor.
Your material comes straight from the source. Our bulk rock, soil and mulch comes from partner quarries and supply yards, and our sod comes from partner farms. It goes from there to your driveway. Sod in particular is cut fresh for your delivery, so it isn't sitting stacked on a lot drying out while it waits for somebody to come get it.
You don't have to haul it. This is the big one. A pallet of sod weighs somewhere around 2,500 to 3,000 pounds wet. A load of rock for a driveway or a patio base is measured in tons. Plenty of pickups people show up with aren't built for that. Overload one and you're looking at blown tires, worn-out suspension or brakes that don't stop the way you're counting on. We'd much rather put it on a truck that's made for it.

One flat fee, set by your zone. Delivery is $95, $135 or $185 depending on your ZIP. Same fee whether it's a few yards of mulch or a load of rock. You see the full fee at checkout before you pay. Compare that to your time, your gas and the wear on your truck, and it usually comes out ahead.
Same-day is normal. In-stock mulch, rock, soil, hardscape, accessories and bagged goods ordered by 10:00 AM go out the same day. After 10 AM, it goes the next business day. Sod needs 24 to 48 hours notice since it's cut fresh.

"What's your address?"
We're based in south DFW and our trucks run Crowley, Burleson, Mansfield, Cleburne and the towns around them. We don't publish a street address because we don't have a public pickup location, and we don't want anybody driving out expecting a yard and finding a locked gate.
If you need to reach us, it's easy:
- Phone: 817-765-1655
- Email: hello@theoutdoorcompanycompany.com
- Hours: Monday to Friday 6 AM to 5 PM, Saturday 7 AM to 2 PM, closed Sunday
To see whether we come to you, punch your ZIP into the delivery checker. The full zone list and fees are in our post on delivery zones and fees.
"I've got a dump trailer. Can I just load at your yard?"
We hear this from contractors and handy homeowners with their own equipment. The answer's still no, there's no yard for you to load at. But if you're running regular jobs, you've got better options than pulling a trailer around.
A contractor account gets you:
- Volume pricing by the load, so you're not paying retail on every job.
- Net-30 terms after a credit check.
- Job-site delivery splits on one ticket. One order, dropped at more than one site. That's usually what people with trailers are trying to do anyway.
Honestly, having us drop material right where the crew needs it saves the round trips. Your trailer stays on the job, not in a loading line.
What we can do instead
Pickup's off the table, but here's what we can do to make delivery work for you:
- Curbside dump. Worried about your driveway, your lawn or the sprinkler lines under it? Mark the curb and we'll dump there. You move it in on your schedule.
- Exactly where you want it. If the truck can safely get to it, we'll dump right at the spot you mark, so you're not wheelbarrowing across the whole yard.
- Gate codes and HOA rules. Put them in the special instructions at checkout and the driver will see them.
- Small sod jobs. If you only need to patch a bare spot, Tifway 419 Bermuda comes by the square yard, so you're not stuck with a 450 square foot pallet.
- A phone quote. Big job, odd material, or a ZIP outside our zones? Call 817-765-1655. We may be able to work out a delivery by phone quote. We won't promise it until we've talked, but it's always worth asking.
What to do next
Figure out how much you need first, so you only pay for one delivery. The calculators handle mulch, rock, soil and sod, and the satellite measuring tool traces your lawn for you. Then check your ZIP with the delivery checker and shop the product list. We'll bring it to your driveway. The fine print on access and scheduling is on our delivery policy page.
